Elizabeth and Duncan Rothwell are cycling in the Liverpool Nightrider event on July 14th/15th in the night to raise money for DELTA. They are delighted that a group of five friends have also signed up and will be riding for our charity.
They will all set off at 11.00pm from the Pier Head in Liverpool and cycle through one of the tunnels under the Mersey (temporarily closed to traffic!) and then complete a 50km route around the Wirral before returning back through the tunnel to the Pier Head. They are hoping to get back in time to get some sleep!
Duncan completed this event last year in the pouring rain but has pluckily signed up again – fortunately, the weather forecast is much more favourable this year. Liz is a founder member and a current Trustee of DELTA.
