Despite COVID-19 canceling the London Marathon in April this year, we are pleased to announce three fantastic runners who will be running for DELTA in the London Virtual Marathon this year taking place on Sunday 4th October.
Running 26.2 miles in their local area and using a London Marathon App to track their progress, our three runners have the chance to run 26.2 miles from midnight to midnight and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
Please do support them by reading their stories below and donating to their fantastic endeavours in the name of DELTA and the Natural Aural Approach.
Thank you to Sarah, Jon and Claire!

So, I was honoured to be running the London Marathon for the first time in 2020, and in doing so raising money for DELTA. Being able to support a wonderful local charity will spurred me on through the long (and cold and wet) winter runs. Knowing that funds raised would help families with deaf babies, children and young people, motivated me through the crack of dawn training. Then came Covid-19 and lockdown happened…
Thankfully we now have the decision made, and though it’s disappointing the main race will not be happening this year, I’m planning to complete the race in April 2022. However, London Marathon are instead organising a Virtual race for 2020, being held on 4th October. Given the reduced level of training I’m looking to complete the Virtual event with a difference – by completing the 26.2 miles by running 3 miles every 3 hours over 24 hours!
It’s been a difficult time for all, from those on furlough to those working whilst homeschooling, young people missing out on education and friendship, with the mandated use of masks bringing new challenges. I’m raising money for DELTA to help children, young people & their families in this difficult time and through the longer term. Please give generously, every little helps

Okay. Here goes. Time to commit.
As London marathon has been postponed for mass participants this year I’ve decided to run 100 miles in 24hrs for the charity DELTA so that vital funds can still be raised.
On a Saturday 3rd October at midday I shall begin the challenge finishing on Sunday 4th at midday.
Why not? It’s worth a go!
